Suzi, Baby and Doris are three sisters who live on piece of land in Wireless with two bamboo homes. They were all born in Myanmar but their grandparents are originally from India of the Thalaku Tribe. They can still speak the native language of their original tribe.
Suzi is the oldest sister and has three daughters: Elizabeth-20 who attends Bible College and is sponsored by Judah’s church, Susan-19 is a salesperson in an electronics shop, and Rachel-15 who is the 9th grade. Suzi’s husband is a nonbeliever and alcoholic. He is currently working in Malaysia. Suzi took the day off of work just to host us at her home.
Baby just got back from working in Malaysia as a cook in the home of a wealthy person two weeks prior to our visit. She was there for three years. Baby is married to a believer and has two children: Shirab-23 who sings at the church and grows flowers to sell and Moses-20 who is currently at a six month training session with YWAM.
Doris is single. After working in Malaysia for three years she recently returned to help care for their mother who is ill. Their mother is 71 years old and had a stroke four years ago leaving her partially paralyzed.
Suzi’s prayer requests: Husband’s salvation and sobriety as well as his safety while working in Malaysia.
Baby’s prayer requests: Husband to mature as a Christian as he suffers with alcoholism and has lived apart from her for three years in a different part of the country. When he is home he is abusive.
Doris’ prayer request: Healing from asthma and healing for their mother.
