Just a quick update to let you know what is going on in Morisseau.
The church is almost completely finished. Waiting for the roof to be put on probably in November. The church is about 30% larger than the one that was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew last October. It has been tough but the people of Morisseau are resilient. The school will use part of the church for classrooms until the school is ready.
Once the school is ready for the roof both buildings will be completed at the same time.
This year will be the first year every student will have a workbook/textbook for each subject! That is fantastic. No more copying from the teacher’s book. They will be able to take them home.
L***** has done a fine job of creating teachers contracts with employment expectations. With his background in education and knowing the cultural nuances, this will be a great help going forward. Thanks to L*****.
M***** have secured a pickup that will be sent this fall. A friend of their’ s donated a nice truck that will be a huge help when we travel next February. Kudos!
L***** has donated 100 nice wooden, padded chairs to the new church building. Half have been shipped already. They have given so much and continue to minister to the people of Morisseau. So grateful for them.
The school will open in September but classes begin first Monday in October.
This ministry would not exist without each one of you giving of your time and finances. It will be neat one day in heaven to see the impact your generosity has made for the kingdom in Morisseau.
