Pong Sar: Pastor from the Karen Burmese tribe who traveled 100 miles from Jung Byaw to attend the two day seminar taught by the team. He is married with a five month old son. Pong Sar came from the church Judah planted in 2004. They meet in a bamboo tent with 30-40 members. Pong Sar was raised in a Christian home to be a servant for the Kingdom. He ran a Sunday school class until Judah called him and asked him to help with evangelism. In his church, Pong Sar, encourages all the members to share the Gospel with others.
Pong Sar’s biggest challenge was when authorities showed up and tried to stop the worship service stating it was political. He did not stop the service and his church has been left alone since that incident.
Pong Sar’s message to the world: “As long as the Lord lets me serve I will dedicate my whole life to God.”
