Phoe Zaw and Naw Flora have a nice, cement home in Wireless. They have two children; 11 year old daughter Naw Maye Myat Thwin and an 8 year old son Saw Tue Ell. Naw Flora grew up in a Christian home. Phoe Zaw grew up Buddhist. He became a Christian in 1999 and is currently the only Christian in his extended family. Naw Flora’s brother is a pastor in another village. Phoe Zae and Naw Flora are both from Myanmar but they met while both were working in Malaysia. Phoe Zae worked as a waiter in a restaurant for two separate three year terms in Malaysia without going home to visit. He is currently unemployed due to problems with his back. Naw Flora currently works in the local market selling noodles.
Phoe Zae’s and Naw Flora’s prayer request: Phoe Zae desperately wants to work, praying his back heals enough to get a job. Naw Flora prays her job in the market will continue to provide for the family. Their two children, their son is struggling in school.
*Update as of 01/13/2012-Phoe Zae has not been able to find work yet, but his back is feeling better.
