Lun Kong and Wa Wa Lwin are Judah’s Assistant Pastor Khin Zaw’s in-laws. They have two children: Thu Ca Lwin (Khin Zaw’s wife)-25 and Thin Ko Lat-22 year old son working in Thailand. Khin Zaw baptized Thin Ko Lat. They have taken in their two nieces who were abandoned by their mother, Wa Wa Lwin’s sister. The older niece goes to the government middle school, but the younger one goes to a monk elementary school. The monk schools are completely free including uniforms, supplies, and lunches where as in the government schools the parents must pay for uniforms, supplies, and lunches. In general the monk schools have better quality teachers for elementary age students. The government schools have better teachers in middle and high school. Lun Kong has worked at a feed store for seven years. He carries a lot of heavy bags of feed which over the years has caused him knee problems. Wa Wa Lwin is from the Kichin Tribe and became a Christian when she was 16 and heard the Gospel while visiting Yangon. Her mother is Buddhist. Wa Wa Lwin is one of the cooks at Judah’s church. Khin Zaw and Thu Ca Lwin recently purchased a piece of land to build their own home. They have a two year old daughter, Sara. Khin Zaw and Thu Ca Lwin went to Bago to participate in their Christmas celebration to reach out to the community where they were expecting at least 200 nonbelievers to attend.
While we were visiting their neighbor, Chit Kaing, came by to visit. She is a nonbeliever and we were able to pray for her salvation with her permission.
Prayer requests: Lun Kong’s knee pain to be healed, Thin Ko Lat has not been home in a long time and they would like for him to come home for a visit, Wa Wa Lwin’s pain to resolve as well, Khin Zaw to stay strong in the Lord, Sara’s cough to resolve, Chit Kaing’s salvation.
