Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus again. May the Lord bless you as you trust and serve Him. We thank you very much for your faithful and continued prayer and support. Here are some updates of our ministry in Myanmar.

Jung Byaw orphanage building

Construction is still ongoing. It was supposed to be finished last month, but the builders are slow and the orphans are sleeping in the church building. We hope that it will be finished at the end of this month.

Dealing with Authorities

The Jung Byaw church is enduring some persecution from authorities who do not want to permit worship services in the new church building. City level officers from the police, fire, electricity and administration departments have come to check the building. Please pray for God to give us wisdom to handle these problems.

Win Aung’s Testimony

Win Aung and his family did not know the Lord, but they became believers after the Nargis Cyclone disaster in 2008. They were homeless before. Though they don’t own land to build a house, they are able to rent a small house and they are faithful to the Lord. Last month, Win Aung was sick and could not sleep for a week, so Khaw and I went to his home and prayed for him by anointing oil on the top of his head as James 5:14 says. God answered our prayers, and he was able to sleep soundly from that night. Hallelujah, Amen! He is our healer physically, spiritually and emotionally.

The orphans

The orphans we take care of are doing well. We have 91 orphans in four orphanages: Yangon (53 orphans), Jung Byaw (15 orphans), Putao (20 orphans) and Bagu (3 orphans).

Evangelism

We support 22 evangelists in different locations. We started two new churches in the Bamauk area. We have 15 evangelists in Rakhine state establishing 15 churches there, one church in Jung Byaw, one church in Bamauk, one church in Bagu, and one church in Yangon.

Bible students

We support three Bible students this year.

Preschool

We have ten kids in preschool in Bagu, allowing us to share His word to them at an early age.
Mosquito nets: We are able to share mosquito nets to the people who need them in this monsoon time. We have more mosquitoes in the rainy season (June-October) and many people get sick with malaria and influenza. Mosquito nets are very essential in this monsoon time.

Providing medicines

We buy some basic medicines and share with those who need them, and it is very helpful in the ministry. We sometimes go to hospitals and help and pray for the patients.

Praise Points

[ps_list icon=”caret-right”] [ps_list_item]Yintang Sein who has face cancer is getting better now. He is having radiation in Taungkyi hospital. The patient was getting weaker after four rounds of radiation (he could not handle radiation) and the doctor said to us that there was no hope for the patient and she wanted us to take him home. I asked you to pray for him in our previous newsletter in May, and because of all our prayers, he is getting better miraculously. We praise His mercy and grace and we would like to let you know so that you can praise His mercy and grace as well.[/ps_list_item] [ps_list_item]Praise the Lord for His provision and guidance in His ministry daily.[/ps_list_item] [ps_list_item]We are glad that we are able to take care of more children this year because of your prayers and support.[/ps_list_item] [ps_list_item]Christianity is growing in Myanmar because believers in the churches and missionaries are sharing the gospel to the lost through faithfulness, zeal, and sacrifice.[/ps_list_item] [/ps_list]

Many of the new children are behind academically because they come from very poor areas with limited educational opportunities. The school heads do not want to accept them in their schools, because if the students do not perform well on State level exams, the heads will be audited by higher officers.[/ps_list_item] [ps_list_item]The drug problem in Myanmar is second in the world after Afghanistan, according to Drug Research. We were able to send a patient to drug rehab this week. He told us that over 90 percent of youths in the villages are using drugs, and asked us to please pray for him and for his friends that they can know that only God can save them from this drug addiction.[/ps_list_item] [/ps_list]
