Greetings from Nagpur
These photos are of the street beggar children (8-12 years old). They are begging for money from people waiting at red lights on the main square.
They have bad habits like gambling, smoking, chewing tobbaco & whitners (ink eraser). They earn about 150 rupees per day, or about $3.00 USD. After their day of begging, their money is collected by the gang leaders, and he supplies drugs and small amounts of food to the children. Sometimes the leader beats them very badly. These children do not have any place to sleep at night, and are mostly taking shelter in newly contructed buildings not yet developed and the temples without bedding.
They know us very well, and we gather at one place singing praises and telling them about Jesus, and how Jesus loves all the children; then we serve them food which they gladly enjoy.
They never go for school, and are eager to learn something new. Many times they are in tears because of their bad habits and are very sad because it is very difficult for them to escape the devil.
They have no mentors, no life, and no place to go. Please kindly pray for these children, and their escape from the darkness. Jesus cares about them.
